I’ve gotten used to cows in my backyard. But today, I had:

Sheep with my cows. (Note the herder up top, giving a friendly wave.)

And horses.  And goats. And a donkey carrying packs of supplies. Our security guard translated for me that this group is nomadic, traveling across the entire country. They pass by here once a year.

They all walked single file along our mountain ledge.

And grazed behind my yard.

They were kept in line by one of the scariest wolflike dogs I’d ever seen. Scary, until he wagged his tail and whimpered at us. I ran in and got dog food for him, and then he hung out with us until his herder summoned him back to work.
