Perks of being a diplomat: Our own line at the grocery store and a discount.
Most days it’s fab - no long Kroger/Meijer/Hannaford/Piggly lines! Other days, you’re stuck behind the guy buying thousands of rolls of toilet paper for say, the Italian embassy, to be rung through and signed off on individually, and suddenly Kroger isn’t looking so bad after all.
