Greetings Comrades!

And the randomly-drawn-out-of -a-Georgian-sheepskin-hat winner of the Soviet Bloc of Chocolate giveaway is…  DAN SANTAT aka “The Dutch Oven.” Dan, enjoy your random Soviet-era goodies and chocolate.

And, a little paper stuck to Dan’s entry and fell to the floor, so I’ll make that the runner-up… KEVIN GAUTHIER, a high school classmate, will win $500 Russian roubles and random Soviet working papers that didn’t fit in the original photo so  that works out well!

Loved the names you all sent in! Here are some from Facebook:

And via email and Facebook, included:

Ekaterina Fedora

Anastasiya Shpion

Svetlana Hersheyovna

Bianca Zola

Rock Hardcastle

Krema

Imamajor Dorkus with explanation: All my papers would have the name ‘Imamajor Dorkus’ on them. That way, when they interrogated me it would make me laugh when they said things like, “Tell us why you were in the embassy, Imamajor Dorkus.”

Jodelle

Andre Serivich Koznetsov

And, my twin (disqualified) sister’s: Minka, Evil Twinka and nephew aka Durken Schnoff.

Thanks everyone for playing! Here’s a picture of where I got most of the prizes (not the chocolate, that would be icky), with visitor US Attorney Carter Stewart shopping for his own souvenirs:
